A free online video sharing network

Bitchute has been called one of the most successful competitors to YouTube to ever exist, which still means it is relatively unknown, but it is doing better that websites such as DailyMotion. The point of this online sharing platform is to receive uploads from regular users and present them to people for free.

Very similar to YouTube

Bitchute is a social media network because it allows different users to upload content for free and interact with each other. There is a little worry about the network because it is powered by BitTorrent, and even though BitTorrent is legal and brilliant, it may be used by a minority of people for sharing copyrighted content. However, Bitchute doesn’t encourage or allow the sharing of copyrighted content. Search through the videos and see thumbnails that show what each video has to offer. There is a fair amount of the same videos on YouTube, but there are also videos that you will not find on YouTube, DailyMotion or Vimeo.

It may be a good competitor to YouTube

YouTube is rife with copyrighted material that is uploaded and monetized by people who do not own it. People have been waiting for years for a social media network that discourages the uploading of copyrighted material. YouTube rarely checks the uploads that are reported, but this new social media platform takes copyrighted material very seriously and checks up on every reported case.

PROS

  • You may upload your own content for free
  • Watch as many videos as you wish without paying

CONS

  • The number of uploaders is lower than YouTube
  • Better than Vimeo but doesn’t have the same brand recognition
